After big weeks on the track and on the basketball court, Knox College's Carly Smith and Lance Miller were named this week's Knox Athletes of the Week.
Smith had a big hand in Knox's two wins last week. In Wednesday's victory over Cornell, Smith finished with nine points and six rebounds. For Senior Day on Saturday, the senior had another big game. Smith had season highs in points (14) and rebounds (14), recording her second double-double of the season.
On Saturday, Miller led the way again for the Knox College indoor track and field team, finishing second in the 3000 meters at the Illinois College Invite on Saturday. Miller covered the course in 8:36.23, setting another program record by over two seconds. Miller bested the mark he set earlier this season.
