The Knox College men's golf team had a strong weekend at the Monmouth Fighting Scots Spring Invite. The Prairie Fire men finished second out of 10 teams, posting a combined score of 620, which placed them at +52 over par.
Knox had a good start to the tournament, shooting a 304 in the first round. The Prairie Fire followed that with a 316 during Sunday's windy conditions.
Pranav Nandakumar finished eighth at +10, with Gabe Newman close behind in ninth at +11.
Nandakumar shot 76 in both rounds for a 152 total. Newman had a 73, then an 80.
Nathaniel Zug tied for 12th at +13, scoring 78 and 77. Saransh Raina finished tied for 23rd at +18.
Jaxson Forman was 33rd with a 78-87–165, and Sho Kuroda was 55th with a +72 of 113-101–214.
Knox is next in action this weekend, playing at the Earlham College Invite on April 18 and 19.
