A senior sharpshooter for the Knox women’s basketball team, Howard played a major role in a record-setting week on the court.

Howard hit seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 28 points in a 123-71 Midwest Conference win at home against Lawrence University on January 24.  She’s drained seven 3-point baskets twice in her career and shares the school record with Abby Owens ’12.

Howard also helped Knox set new single-game records for points, 3-pointers (18), and steals (33) in the win over the Vikings.

For the week Howard 21.0 points, shot 56 percent (14-of-25) from the field – including 50 percent (11-of-22) from 3-point range – and had seven steals.  She leads the Midwest Conference with 48 3-point baskets this season.  She finished with a league-high 64 last season.
