The Prairie Fire women's tennis team dropped a pair of conference matches on the road on Sunday.
 
Knox (3-7, 2-4 MWC) got a #4 singles win against Cornell when Annaliese McDermott (Peoria, IL, Dunlap)t defeated her opponent 2-6, 7-6, 7-3. Sierra Henry (Robinson, IL, Robinson) fell in a close 3-6, 6-4, 6-10 match. Henry again played a close one in the Grinnell match 4-6, 5-7 to play the closest match for the Prairie Fire.
 
Knox returns to action when they travel to Monmouth on September 21.
