GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's tennis team dropped a close match with Illinois Valley Community College on Wednesday afternoon.

Knox lost 4-5 after getting wins at #1 and #2 doubles and #1 and #3 singles. Bhumika Gupta continued her excellent fall with her 10th victory in singles, winning 6-1, 6-2. She also teamed up with Kathryn Allee to win #1 singles 8-5. Himani Patel won #3 singles 6-3, 6-0 and teamed up with Mallory Boychuk to win their doubles match 8-3.

The other matches were very closely contested, but the Eagles ended up slightly edging the Prairie Fire for the victory.

Knox will conclude their fall season this weekend as they travel to the Midwest Conference Individual Tournament on October 13 and 14 in Madison, WI.
