GRINNELL, Iowa - The Prairie Fire women's tennis team dropped a pair of conference matches on Saturday.
 
Knox (1-13, 0-9 MWC) fell to 0-9 to Grinnell in the morning match, before falling to Cornell 0-9 in the afternoon match.
 
Bhumika Gupta played a few close matches at #1 singles, falling 1-6,1-6 in the morning and 2-6, 2-6 in the afternoon.
 
The Prairie Fire were facing the second and third best teams in the Midwest Conference in a tough pair of matches.
 
The women's tennis team will battle Illinois Valley Community College on October 10 to finish the regular season.
