GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire women's tennis team dropped a pair of conference matches in the first day of conference competition.
 
Knox (0-4) traveled to Beloit for the first match of the day and fell 3-6. Olivia Aractigni and Bhumika Gupta won at #1 singles and #2 singles, respectively. They also teamed up to defeat the Buccaneers in #1 doubles.
 
The afternoon match at Lake Forest saw the Foresters defeat Knox 9-0.
 
The Prairie Fire will return to action on September 9 at Lakeland.
