GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire golf teams hosted the first round of the Prairie Fire Fall Invitational on Saturday.
The Knox men's "A team" is currently in tied for second place after a first round score of 309. The men's "B team" is in fourth place after shooting 316 in the first round.
Brendan Wise, Pranav Nandakumar, Patrick Mattar, Jake Schabes, and Shubham Nain are all tied for eight after carding 77's in the first round.
The Prairie Fire women's team had three individuals compete: Hayden Fay, Mariah Barlow, and Paige McCleary.
"We didn't play our best today, but still have a chance to make some moves tomorrow," said head coach KC Harding. "We had a lot of solid scores, just nothing spectacular. We have an opportunity to close out the fall season on a high note tomorrow."
Knox will look to move up in the standings in the final round on October 2.
