GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's golf team hosted the first round of the Jim Wetherbee Invite on Saturday.

Knox is currently tied for 13th (331) and in 19th (344).

Brendan Wise paced the Prairie Fire in the first round with a 79, good for a tie for 20th overall.

Shubham Nain also shot a first round 82.

"We never play our best when it's this windy," said head coach KC Harding. "We are better than this and I expect us to finish higher than this after a nicer day tomorrow. We need to make up a lot of ground."

Knox hosts the second round starting at Noon on Sunday at Soangetaha Country Club.
