LOUISVILLE, Kentucky - The Prairie Fire men's golf team competed in the final round of the SLIAC Tournament on Tuesday.
Knox shot a 328 in the third round to fall from third place to fifth place in the 11-team field.
Patrick Mattar led the Prairie Fire with a three round total of 232 (77-77-78) to finish in a tie for eighth place overall and earn Second Team All-SLIAC honors.
Harry Phillips (237) and Brendan Wise (239) each placed in the top-20.
"It was not the day we had hoped for as everyone tended to struggle," said head coach KC Harding. "The good news is we lose no starters and are adding four more golfers to an already talented lineup. It was a year of highs and lows, but there is a no doubt I am very proud of this team. I think they will bounce back in a big way in the fall. I would also like to thank all the family and friends who made the trip to Kentucky to support us."
