Women's Basketball Adds Exhibition Game Against Saint Louis University

GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's basketball team will suit up one more time this season as they have added an exhibition against Division I school St. Louis University on Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be part of the Billikens' Women Empowerment Day and Senior Day Festivities. This will be the first exhibition the Knox women's basketball team has played against a Division I school in at least the last 20 years.

The Prairie Fire (19-8 overall record) will battle the Billikens (14-17 overall record) for the first time in school history. St. Louis last played a Midwest Conference team during the 1978-79 season when they defeated Illinois College 56-44. The Billikens are coming off a 78-57 victory over LaSalle on February 28.

After their recent selection as first team All-Midwest Conference performers, Kylee Callahan and Bria Medina will look to lead the Prairie Fire to victory over the Division I foe. Medina was second in the Midwest Conference (MWC) in scoring (16.9 ppg) and Callahan was third (15.9 ppg). Seniors Sarina Dacio and Nyah Daniels also finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in the league in scoring average during the season. Knox led the MWC in scoring at 79.4 points per game. The Billikens have averaged 71.8 points per game, good for second in the Atlantic 10 Conference (A10).
